Many travelers rely on public transport when they travel. This is especially true of people who don’t own a car, or are travelling for business.

It’s also useful to check the number of passengers allowed on each flight to avoid any excess travel or to book multiple flights to a number of destinations. Some airlines only allow 110 passengers per flight; others may allow as many as 370. Depending on where you are flying from, things like leg room (how many extra inches are you allowed on a plane) and food serve as the final security check. Seats on some international flights offer additional leg room, but not all seats are created equal, so check to make sure you won’t miss out if it is important to have room for your carry-on luggage. Airlines may also charge extra fees for carry-on items, even if they are allowed on the plane.
It’s also important to check if your flight has departure restrictions. Restrictions are imposed by government and airline officials in the interest of airline safety. I expect the long-term effect of increased layovers will be less of an issue, but it’s something to consider, as you travel.
